The Lakes Area Boxing club competed in Wadena over the weekend, with lots of action had in the ring.
Christian Conn boxed Brainerd's Joshua Beltran and won by way of the decision.
LAB's Chace Metelak lost a decision Alex Duran from the Willmar Boxing Club in a 125-pound match, while Samantha Lucero lost her boxing match to a tough Diamond Kello from the Willmar Boxing Club.
LAB's first master's boxer lost a three-round decision to Red River Golden Gloves Mark Schumacher.
"These guys went toe-to-toe exchanging blows and brought the crowd to their feet and gave a standing ovation," said LAB head trainer Chris Holt. "It was a great fight to watch."

LAB's Joseph Grove lost a third-round decision to Wadena's Tristan Powers, as well.
Next LAB heads to East Grand Forks Legion this Saturday. Boxing matches start at 1 p.m.
