Laker boys' basketball earns No. 3 seed; hosts No. 6 Fergus Falls Tuesday

The Detroit Lakes boys' basketball team earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Section 8-3A playoffs, which start Tuesday.

The Lakers (19-7) will host No. 6 Fergus Falls (9-16) Tuesday inside Ralph Anderson Gym, starting at 7 p.m.

In DL's bracket will be No. 2 Bemidji (20-5) hosting No. 7 Sartell (8-18) Tuesday, as well.

In the upper bracket, No. 1 St. Cloud Apollo (22-4) hosts No. 8 Sauk Rapids (1-25) and No. 5 Little Falls (18-8) will travel to No. 4 Rocori (17-9).

The semifinals will be played at St. Cloud State University's Halenbeck Hall Saturday. The upper bracket will be played at 2 p.m. and DL's side will be played at 3:45 p.m.

The Section 8-3A championship will be held Thursday, March 17, at SCSU, starting at 7 p.m.
