The Detroit Lakes volleyball team marked up a Mid-State Conference victory in convincing fashion in Staples-Motley Tuesday.
The Lakers (11-10) swept the Cardinals by the scores of 25-12, 25-10 and 25-14, as sophomore middle hitter Trisa Hutchinson led the way with 10 kills and senior outside hitter Makenzie Gedrose added nine.
Emma Wood had 11 set assists in the victory and senior labero Katie Grosz recorded eight digs.
The Lakers were coming off a 3-0 defeat to Moorhead Thursday, losing by the scores of 25-14, 25-22 and 25-12.
DL will travel to Hawley (15-7-1) Thursday and cap their regular season Tuesday, Oct. 18, at home against Perham (11-14) for a 7:30 p.m. start.
