MAHNOMEN - The No. 1-1A Mahnomen Indians blew open a close game in the second quarter scoring 31 unanswered points behind a strong game by starting quarterback Tom Pavek routing previously undefeated Lake-Park Audubon 45-7 Friday night in Northstar West Conference action.
Pavek was questionable to start the game and Mahnomen's backup and third string quarterback are also out with injuries.
The victory continues the Indians' winning streak - now at 32 games.
A Pavek 61-yard touchdown run broke open a close 14-7 game in the first half putting the Indians up 22-7 1:45 before the half.
Dylan Reitan scored 1:10 into the second half from 11 yards out for a 30-7 Mahnomen lead.

Pavek scored his third rushing touchdown five minutes later and Mahnomen was cruising up 37-7.
Reitan rushed nine yards for his second score with 17 seconds remaining to cap a 23-point third quarter.
Pavek was 3-7 passing for 106 yards and one touchdown and rushed 12 times for 209 yards and three touchdowns.
Reitan also rushed a dozen times for 81 yards and two scores.
The Indians dominated offensively with 486 total yards, 380 yards on the ground, on 52 plays to just 63 total yards on 48 plays for the Raiders.
First downs were 20-3 Mahnomen.
Mahnomen sits atop the conference as the only undefeated team at 4-0. Fosston and LP-A are both 3-1.
The Indians play in Greenbush next Friday against Badger/Greenbush-Middle River (1-3). The Raiders will play Fertile-Beltrami in Fertile.
