MFG teams do well in Fargo

The Minnesota Flyers Gymnastics teams competed in the 2010 TNT Winter Challenge in Fargo, Jan. 30-31.

There were a bevy of teams competing in this meet, as the MFG was represented well.

There were great improvements made in this meet, with the Level Four meet seeing Anna Donner scoring the highest all around in the meet with a 36.5.

In the Level 5 meet, Cora Okeson scored a 35.5 for the highest all around score.

The Level 7 team had the three highest scores at the meet for their level. Justine Lawrence scored 35.350, Peyton Jernberg scored 35.55 and Molly Lyngaas scored a 36.225, taking the all around title.

The MFG gymnasts have three more meets left in their season.

There were great results this season. MFG had more gymnasts qualified for the Level 5-6 State Championships this season than the last.

"We have four Optional Gymnasts (Levels 7-8) so far qualified for the Optional State Championships, which will be held in the Cities later in March," said MFG coach Sith Hansana.

All the MFG teams placed well in the 2010 TNT Winter Challenge Meet, which included Level Four taking second, Level Five taking first, Level Six finishing second, Level 7 taking first and the Level Eight finishing third.
