Donna Nestor of Detroit Lakes was inducted into the USBC-DLWBA Hall of Fame earlier this fall.

Nestor came from a family of bowlers and for many years, she participated in the sport with her mother, sister and niece on the same team, which was sponsored by the Marque Gift Shop.

She started bowling in 1953 and bowled until the time of her death on Aug. 4, 2008.

Nestor had many accomplishments during her bowling career, including a game-high score of 289 in 1991.

Her high series also came in 1991 with a 644, with her high average being a 175.

She had many 500 and 600 series during her lifetime and served as captain of her bowling teams for many years.

During her bowling career, Nestor attended many state and national bowling tournaments across the region.
