GREENBUSH - The winning streak of the No. 1A Mahnomen Indians continued Friday night in a big way with a 47-0 shutout on the road over Badger/Greenbush-Middle River.
Dylan Reitan and Jake Worms each scored twice and Mahnomen made a pair of trips to the end zone in the first three quarters of the game.
"Dylan was a highlight machine," Head Coach John Clark, Jr. said. "I thought we totally controlled the line of scrimmage again. We had several long runs where our backs were untouched."
Quarterback Tom Pavek opened the game with a 52-yard touchdown run five minutes into the game.
John Hoffner scored from the seven six minutes later for an early 13-0 lead in the first quarter.

Worms scored his first touchdown on an 18-yard run with 7:52 remaining in the half, followed by a 70-yard run from Reitan at 2:12 and a 28-0 lead at the break.
Reitan had a bloated rushing average of 29.3 yards per carry gaining 117 yards on only four rushes to lead all ball carriers. Pavek gained 79 yards on seven carries.
Reitan scored his second touchdown on a 38-yard pass from Pavek midway through the third quarter.
Worms notched his second score on a 19-yard run 72 seconds later giving the Indians a 41-0 lead.
Hawk Lafriniere capped the scoring from 36 yards out with 3:25 to go in the game.
Mahnomen put up 479 total yards to 95 for BGMR. 408 of the Indians’ yards came on the ground. First downs were 20-7 Mahnomen.
The top-ranked Indians return home with a record of 5-0 to face Fertile-Beltrami (2-3) Friday, Oct. 3.
Mahnomen has won 33 straight games.
