Free parks, trails, fishing this weekend in Wisconsin
No admission fees or fishing licenses needed for outdoor fun Saturday and Sunday.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources reminds folks that National Trails Day Saturday falls on the state’s Free Fun Weekend, when all admission and trail fees are waived at state parks, forests and trails Saturday and Sunday.
The state's Free Fun Weekend also means that residents and non-residents don't need a fishing licenses to fish in Wisconsin waters.
Visit dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/Parks for trail maps, directions and park info. Wisconsin has 49 state parks, 15 state forests and 44 state biking trails, with trails for all abilities and activities. Several properties offer dedicated trails for mountain biking, ATVs or horseback riding in addition to hiking trails.
