The Crookston Pirates improved to 14-1 after defeating Frazee 67-48 at Concordia College in Moorhead Saturday.
The Pirates used a trio of guards to tally 47 of Crookston’s 67 points, hitting 9 three-point baskets.
Aaron Holcraft led all scorers with 27 points and five steals.
“Holcraft is the best guard we have faced this year, definitely one of the best in the section and he showed it tonight,” Hornet head coach Brian Tangen said.
Crookston shot 46 percent from the field and 40 percent from the arc, missed two of 10 free throws in a consistent shooting night.

Crookston forced 16 turnovers from Frazee, while committing only eight.
The Hornets also gave up 14 offensive rebounds compared to only four for the Hornets.
“Those two things combined were the big difference in the game.”
Matt Tangen led Frazee with 16 points and five assists as the Pirate defense limited Brady Bellefeuille to 11. Bellefeuille led Frazee in rebounds with six.
Parker Nudell had a productive game coming off the bench to score 9 points, with three rebounds and an assist.
The Hornets travel to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton for a Heart O’ Lakes Conference game Tuesday, Jan. 20.
Frazee is 5-9 overall.
