Girls hockey: Prowlers earn first win against Lakers

The Detroit Lakes girls hockey team suffered a loss in its first road game of the season on Monday.

THIEF RIVER FALLS – The Detroit Lakes girls hockey team suffered a loss in its first road game of the season on Monday night.

The Lakers (0-2-0) took a trip to Thief River Falls (1-1-0) on Monday night. The Prowlers won its first game of the season by a score of 9-0. Gretchen Cota finished with a four-point night with two goals and two assists. Kali Knutson also had a pair of goals in a three-point night for the Prowlers.

Eighth-grader Talyn Anderson made 31 saves in goal for the Lakers.
