It was a long night for the Breckenridge-Wahpeton boys hockey team on Monday as Detroit Lakes picked up a shutout win on the road.
The ninth-ranked Lakers, according to Let’s Play Hockey, beat the Blades 10-0. Jordan Fields had a four-point night with two goals and two assists. Eli Denardo, Spencer Bergman and Rian Solberg each had a goal and two assists.
Detroit Lakes goalie Chaz Eckhoff made one save in goal to earn his first varsity shutout.

Pirates shutout LakersThe Detroit Lakes girls hockey team fell 10-0 in Crookston on Monday night.
Reese Swanson and Aleah Bienek each had two goals on the night for the Pirates. Swanson added three assists for a five-point night. Morgan Nelson had a goal and two assists as well.
Emma Wahl made 40 saves in goal for the Lakers. Jacey Larson made 11 saves to earn the shutout.
