Local sixth grade girls basketball team wins regional tournament in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA — The Detroit Lakes sixth grade girls basketball team won the Pacesetter Regional Championship in Alexandria on Apr. 10.
The youth Lakers will play in the state tournament in June at Paynesville. The girls are coached by Troy Larson and Marcia Loeslie. Players on the team include Skyla Maasjo, Zoey Asleson, Waverly Jessen, Evie Martin, Lexi Erickson, Kaitlyn Carrier, Aleya Loeslie, Ella Larson, Adysen Witkowski, Marie Syvertson and Kindle Sundblad.
