Volleyball: Detroit Lakes breezes past Crosby-Ironton, keeps sweep streak alive

The Detroit Lakes volleyball team beat Crosby-Ironton to earn its fifth sweep of the season in five matches.

The Detroit Lakes volleyball team extended its sweep streak to five games with a 3-0 win over Crosby-Ironton on Thursday night.

The Lakers (5-0) beat the Rangers 25-13 in all three sets.

Sadie Stroeing tallied five aces in the win. She also collected two blocks. Jalynn Gunderson led the team with 14 kills and 11 digs. She also had two aces.

Grace Gunderson had eight kills and four aces. Ave jones got in on the ace action with two while tallying six digs, and 30 assists. Maddy Bellanger had four digs and Rylee Johnson had six kills.

The Lakers head to Hawley this weekend for their first regular-season tournament.
