DETROIT LAKES – The Detroit Lakes volleyball team picked up another convincing Mid-State Conference win on Thursday night.
The Lakers (13-2) beat Staples-Motley 25-13, 25-10 and 25-14 to earn their 13th sweep of the season. Grace Gunderson led the team with 12 digs and kills each. She also had one block.
Jalynn Gunderson had another big night. She recorded 11 kills, eight digs and two aces. Sadie Stoering also had a good night at the net with seven kills and a block.
Rylee Johnson tallied five aces, which was a team high. She also had seven kills. Helena Daggett led the way in blocks with eight. Maddy Bellanger and Olivia Clark Burnette each had six digs, while Bellanger also had four aces. Ava Jones added 38 more assists from the setter position.
