FERTILE - The Lake Park-Audubon Raiders bounced back after losing their first game of the season at Mahnomen last week with a 22-0 shutout of Fertile-Beltrami (2-3) on the road Friday night.
“We played well, another great team effort,” Head Coach Brad Dunham said.
Reese Mattson, a junior, got his first start under center for the Raiders connecting on eight of 18 passes for 58 yards and leading the team in rushing gaining 120 yards on 15 carries with a touchdown.
“It took him a little time to settle in but then got comfortable and had a great game.”
Mattson and senior Tim Brekken have appeared at quarterback in all four games. Brekken had one rush for 12 yards Friday.

Taylor Briard and Tori Haglund continued to run the ball well for the Raiders each surpassing 50 yards on the ground.
Briard scored and had a strong night on defense with seven solo tackles and four assists to lead the team.
Mitch Hall had 5 receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown.
The Raiders put up 324 yards of total offense and improve to 4-1 on the season. LP-A faces Red Lake County (1-4) next Friday in Lake Park.
