Berit Ramstad-Skoyles was the runner-up at the Brainerd Invitational 9.2k Nordic Ski meet Tuesday.

Emma Stertz of Grand Rapids won the race in 26:01. Ramstad-Skoyles was 1:49 back and four seconds ahead of third place finisher Maggie Anderson of Grand Rapids with a time of 27:50,

Laker teammate Sarah Schumacher placed 30th overall in a time of 36:01.

The Laker duo placed sixth as a team with 280 points.

With four top 10 finishers, Grand Rapids took the team title scoring 372.

Ellen Teiken led the Laker junior varsity with a sixth place finish in the 4.6k skate.

Anna Hokanson, Teanna Schwartz, Jasmyn hamm, and Anna Schumacher placed 20th, 21st, 24th and 25th, respectively.
