Grand Forks Red River used crisp passing and team depth to defeat the Laker boys soccer team 9-0 Saturday.

Cameron Blilie scored twice and assisted on two other goals to lead the Roughriders.

Braden Axtman also scored two goals and added an assist, while Kassim Nsibirwa, Jaeden Holt, Chris Janes, Mitchell Heigaard-Mcgurran and Alex Carpenter also scored for the 11-4 Roughriders.

The Lakers fall to 0-12-2 and face East Grand Forks Thursday, Oct. 1 on the road. The Green Wave are 3-6-1 and defeated the Lakers 6-2 in Detroit Lakes on Sept. 17.

Correction: DL’s goal in Thursday’s 5-1 loss to Moorhead was incorrectly credited in the game story and box score. The goal was scored by Elliot Musielewicz.
