St. Cloud State University senior defenseman Garrett Raboin has been selected as a 2010 WCHA Scholar-Athlete award recipient.
This marks the third consecutive season that Raboin has earned WCHA Scholar-Athlete honors.
A total of 77 men's and women's student-athletes make up the fifth annual group of WCHA Scholar-Athlete Award recipients.
Over the first five years of the award, there have now been 321 honorees representing all 10 men's and all eight women's institutions.
The prestigious WCHA Scholar-Athlete Award was developed through association member team faculty representatives and approved by the conference membership beginning with the 2005-06 season.

To earn recognition as a WCHA Scholar-Athlete, conference-member student-athletes must have completed at least one year of residency at their present institution prior to the current academic year. They must also have a grade-point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.0 scale for the previous two semesters or three quarters, or may qualify if his or her overall GPA is at least 3.50 for all terms at his or her present institution.
This season's group of WCHA Scholar-Athletes are being recognized and publicly honored on-ice with a commemorative plaque at respective member-team home games during the remainder of the season.
A special education major at SCSU, Raboin has five goals and 13 assists this season for the Huskies.
SCSU is currently ranked No. 4 in the country with an 18-8-4 overall record.
SCSU is also tied for first place in the league with a 13-6-3 WCHA mark, as of Feb. 12.
The Huskies hosted No. 11 North Dakota on Feb. 12-13 at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud.
