Ship Shape Bowling League hands out season awards

DETROIT LAKES – The Ship Shape Bowling League wrapped up its 2021-2022 season with its awards banquet at the Voyager Lanes on Wednesday, March 31.

The Spare Sails, a team made up of Ginny Chadbourne, Kathy Johnson, Mary Henne, Shirley Taves, Molly Beyer and Linda Atkins took home the league championship honors.

Karen Bunkowski bowled the highest game-high game, Shary Gnadt bowled the highest series, Chadbourne bowled the highest average, Susie Olson won Most Improved Bowler and Deb Aakre bowled the highest game over her average.

Deb Krogsgaard was elected President at the most recent board meeting. Aakre was voted Vice President. Kathy Johnson was voted secretary.

Members bowled a nine-pin tournament to close out the season, with Cheryl Lundrigan taking home the top honors.
