Rylie Polomny and Sam Zimmerman had big first halves to lead Moorhead to an early lead and a 69-45 victory over Detroit Lakes in the girls basketball season finale Friday, Feb. 21 at Ralph Anderson Gymnasium.
The Spud duo combined for more than half of Moorhead’s total points scoring 33 of 46 points in the first half. Polomny had 29 points, including four threes, to lead all scorers; Zimmerman added 17.
The Lakers trailed 46-25 at halftime.
Sarah Tangen led DL with 22 points; Alex Bettcher was in double figures with 10.
Moorhead improved to 18-8. DL finished the regular season 14-12.
