Moorhead scored five times sending the Detroit Lakes boys soccer team to their sixth straight defeat and kept the Lakers winless on the season in a 5-1 Spuds victory at Rotary Park Thursday night.
The Spuds scored three first half goas in 15 minutes to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.
Tommy Swenson scored back-to-back goals in the 16th minute for an early lead and in the 28th minute with the eventual game-winner for the Spuds.
Al Hasan Alomar assisted Noah Yak on Moorhead’s third tally had a goal in the second half.
DL attacker Kale Omang tallied the lone Laker goal in the 55th minute to cut the lead to 3-1, but was answered by Alomar 10 minutes later.

Spud senior midfielder Isaac Judisch scored the final goal with eight minutes to play for the 5-1 final.
Laker keeper Dylan Skoda made 11 saves in the game. Griffin Swenson, his counterpart, made four saves for Moorhead.
The win evens the Spuds’ record at 5-5-2 and snaps a three-game winless drought.
DL falls to 0-11-2. The Lakers host Grand Forks Red River (9-4) Saturday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m.
