Bradley Swiers shut the door on the 7th inning allowing 1 hit, 1 walk and striking out a pair.

“This was a complete team game all around from pitching to hitting,” assistant coach Brandon Johnson said. “Aside from a few errors, the Lakers showed maturity as a team to continue to compete the whole game despite a large margin in the score.”

The Lakers have a busy week playing a doubleheader Monday in Thompson, North Dakota, 1 game Thursday in Barnesville.

The Lakers have been road warriors so far this season playing across the Red River.

DL will make its home debut at Washington Park this weekend.

An alumni game and home run derby will be held at Washington Park Friday, July 3, beginning at 5 p.m. The home derby is scheduled for 7 p.m., with the game to follow.

Saturday morning from 7-10 a.m., there will be a free will offering breakfast at the American Legion to help support the Detroit Lakes Youth Baseball Association.
