The Detroit Lakes third grade boys traveling basketball team captured the championship Saturday in Fergus Falls.

The Lakers were undefeated in three games, including a championship game victory over the host Otters. Detroit Lakes defeated Fergus Falls 17-14.

The Lakers host a home tournament Saturday, Feb. 29.

The team is coached by Robert Moss and Brian English.
