Lakeview Golf Course in Detroit Lakes will be hosting a new event, Women in Golf Day on Tuesday, June 1.
The event will include a golf clinic with PGA professional Kris Smith and former Laker and IUPUI golf standout Shelby Busker at 4:30 p.m.
Women in Golf Day is a collaborative effort by a dedicated team, golf management companies, retailers and organizations, all working together to engage, empower and support girls and women through golf.
This event is being held in more than 1,000 locations throughout the United States on June 1.
There will be many activities at Lakeview that day.

All the women playing golf that day will receive a special gift from the Growth of the Game Foundation sponsored by Pro Resources.
Busker and Smith’s free golf clinic will be held on the driving range at 4:30 p.m.
There will be a free guest night with the Tuesday night Ladies League.
No invitation is necessary.
Golfers interested in playing Tuesday night should contact Anna Boen at 218-849-7533 or Lori Danner at 218-790-3826 prior to June 1 and be at Lakeview at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Golf (9 holes) will begin in a shotgun format at 5:30 p.m.
Lori Danner of Miguel’s will provide a meal after golf to go along with door prizes, team prizes and the special gift from Growth of the Game.
