"We have a nice pack of three guys working together in our lineup led by Connor Haugrud who is improving every week and bringing guys with him. Zach Buboltz had a huge race for us this week in the pack with Connor and Austin Gedrose.

Jace Engelstad placed 46th in 19:04.7 and Sam Priem made his varsity debut with a 48th place finish in 19:09.3.

"Kenzie looked as comfortable as she has all year," Head Coach Jon Freeman said. "She ran a time that equaled her time at Little Falls and faster than Milaca. This can be looked at as an improvement because the FF course it a more difficult course then the other two. She has had health issues and seems to becoming out of it."

Sarah Schumacher returned after not running in Milaca three spots behind Ostlie in 17:14.9.

"Sarah struggled with the course and heat," Freeman said. "She also controlled the team huddle and didn't let the negatives overcome the team. She has been nursing leg soreness but continues to gut out workouts and refuses to quit. Sarah is rising to the top as a leader on many levels."

Haley Groth and Heather Krunkel packed together for finishes in 46th and 47th place.

Haley Groth got out well For the third race in a row. Haley is figuring out what she can do. It's been fun to watch how she is challenging herself the past meets. Her time and place-count has been improving because of it.
