The first show of 2023 at Detroit Lakes' Historic Holmes Theatre is a Thursday, Jan. 19 performance by one of the lakes area's favorite party bands, the Fabulous Armadillos.
Fresh on the heels of its first-ever holiday concert, the Lakes Area Chorale is already gearing up for its spring concert season. Rehearsals start at 1:30 p.m. this Sunday, Jan. 8.
The touring holiday show, "Medora Christmas Memories," closed out the holiday season at Detroit Lakes' Historic Holmes Theatre on Tuesday, Dec. 20, with 350 people in attendance.

Country music superstars Lonestar will perform live on the stage of Detroit Lakes' Historic Holmes Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Matt and Nancy McKenzie and their children Isaiah, Caleb, Thomas and Malia have all been a part of the high school choirs and fall musicals at Detroit Lakes High School during Kathy Larson's 34-year tenure with the district, and all six plan to sing as part of her two-day, musical retirement celebration this weekend.
Fireballs, smoke and costume changes all featured prominently during Friday night's Bash on the Beach in Detroit Lakes as Hairball performed the classics and thrilled the outdoor, sold-out crowd as part of the 86th Northwest Water Carnival on July 15.
