Temperatures will rebound nicely for the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest for our first weekend in February
After a generally quiet January for most of the region we'll see a surge of bitter cold temperatures returning this weekend.
Winds remain light with little precipitation.
High temperatures by the end of the weekend could be above freezing for most of the region.

Mild temperatures across the region
The wind will keep most of the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest feeling quite cold with some experiencing subzero wind chills both Saturday and Sunday.
A cold air mass of higher pressure will drive southward out of southern Canada bringing quiet, but quite cold weather to the region behind the winter storm.
