On Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 1:48 a.m. in Ponsford, a 38-year-old man assaulted a 33-year-old woman. The woman declined medical attention and the man was arrested. The case remains under investigation. Also, on Highway 34 in Osage, a 17-year-old male suffered minor injuries after his vehicle crashed into a Bobcat skid loader. The teenager was transported to a nearby medical clinic for treatment. The driver of the Bobcat was not injured.
Since Thursday, Jan. 6, a 30-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were involved in potential drug overdoses. The man was administered three doses of Narcan on-scene and transported to a nearby medical clinic, while the woman received four doses of Narcan and responded positively. Also, on Friday, Jan. 7 in Detroit Lakes, a 39-year-old man was arrested under suspicion of domestic assault of a 34-year-old woman.

On Tuesday, Jan. 4 at 2:46 p.m., on the 1300 block of 8th Street, Detroit Lakes, a storage unit was burglarized. The unit leaseholder noticed their key wasn't working for their unit and discovered their lock had been cut and replaced. Once inside, the leaseholder noticed a television, a set of golf clubs and a portable heater were stolen, among other items. They will compile a finalize list of the missing items for law enforcement.
On Dec. 31 at 11:53 p.m., at Essentia Health St. Mary's in Detroit Lakes, a 44-year-old man was arrested after becoming disorderly at the health clinic. The man had be transported to the clinic with severe intoxication following a physical domestic incident in Detroit Lakes with another male party.
Since Monday, Dec. 27, 20 vehicle crashes were reported in Becker County to emergency dispatch. No injuries were reported in any of the crashes. Also, on Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 12:42 p.m., on the 27000 block of 125th Street, Detroit Lakes, a residential burglary was reported. A snow blower, fishing gear, propane heater, ice auger and electronic fish finder were stolen from a residence. The case is under investigation.
On Saturday, Dec. 25 at 10:13 p.m., on the 800 block of west Main Avenue, Frazee, a third-party reported their daughter was assaulted by her boyfriend. She suffered unknown injuries and used a personal vehicle to transport to a nearby medical clinic. A 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident. Also, on Sunday, Dec. 26 at 2:04 p.m., on the 200 block of 3rd Street, Audubon, a 19-year-old woman assaulted a 24-year-old man. No injuries were reported in the incident and the woman was arrested.
On Monday, Dec. 20 at 5:30 a.m., on the 13000 block of east Pearl Lake Road, Detroit Lakes, a vehicle left the roadway. While attempting to push the vehicle back onto the roadway, a 31-year-old woman was injured after slipping and having the vehicle run over her leg. She was transported to a nearby medical clinic for treatment. Also, on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 1:12 a.m., near the intersection of Highway 10 and County Road 1, Lake Park, an officer involved pursuit occurred. A white Chevy Trailblazer with a trailer attachment was eastbound on Highway 10. Officers believed the trailer to be stolen and attempted to pull the vehicle over. The SUV driver refused to yield. Officers deployed spike strips, which forced the driver to stop the vehicle. No injuries were reported. A 41-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were detained in the incident.
On Friday, Dec. 17 at 10:22 p.m., on the 1400 block of Apex Court, Detroit Lakes, a 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with a domestic assault of a 29-year-old woman. The woman suffered unknown injuries. Also, on Sunday, Dec. 19 at 10:44 a.m., on the 25000 block of 353rd Circle, Ogema, a 28-year-old woman reported being "pistol whipped" by a 62-year-old man. No medical transport was needed. No arrests were made and the case remains under investigation.

On Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 3:57 p.m., near the intersection of County Road 21 and Rice Lake Road, just north of Detroit Lakes, a 25-year-old woman reported she was hit in the face by a 25-year-old man while in a vehicle. The incident is under investigation. Also on Wednesday, at 6:25 p.m., on the 30000 block of Pleasant View Road, Frazee, a 39-year-old woman said she was struck in the face by a phone that was thrown by a 35-year-old man. No medical transport was needed and the man was arrested.
On Friday evening, Dec. 10, a two-vehicle crash near Lake Melissa on Highway 59 injured two. One of the drivers fled the scene on foot and remains at-large. Two people were transported to a nearby medical clinic for treatment. Also, on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 2:04 p.m., a caller from South Carolina said they sent $1,500 worth of camera equipment to an address in Becker County in a sale organized over Facebook. The package was delivered earlier in the week and payment for the items was never received. The buyer has cut off all contact with the seller. The case is under investigation.
On Dec 7 and Dec. 8, possible school threats were reported to school officials in Ogema and Lake Park, respectively. In both cases, the threats were determined to be unfounded and both students were disciplined. Also, on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 9:08 a.m., on the 25000 block of County Road 22, Detroit Lakes, a 35-year-old man suffered a possible drug overdose and was transported a nearby medical clinic for treatment. Subsequently, he was arrested on an unrelated warrant.
