Outdoor skating rink reopens at Peoples Park

The rink opened Dec. 26, but was closed for three days due to cold temperatures.

The outdoor skating rink at Peoples Park in Detroit Lakes reopened Monday after being closed for three days due to extreme cold temperatures Dec. 31 through Jan. 2.

Warming house hours for the outdoor rink through January are:

Monday through Friday: 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Saturdays and Sundays: Noon to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

On Jan. 17 there is no school and the rink will be open noon to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The schedule is dependent on the weather and is subject to change.
