New weekly COVID-19 cases in Becker County jumped from 44 last week to 76 this week, an increase of 72%. In Clay County, 304 new cases were reported this week, compared to only 171 the week before, an increase of 78%.

New reported infections in Otter Tail County remained flat over the previous seven days with 112 new cases reported, compared to 115 reported in the previous week.
Across Minnesota, 33,913 new cases were reported since Dec. 29, a 50% increase in new cases over the previous week.
There were 203 COVID-related deaths reported across the state this week, compared to 214 in the previous seven days, totaling 10,671 for the entire pandemic.
Becker County reported 76 active cases on Jan. 4, an increase of 5 active cases compared to the previous week.
